Welcome to the Durham Locomotive Preservation Group (DLPG) Website. DLPG is a registered charity (1114642) with a growing membership. The groups current main project is to restore No 77 ‘Norwood’, a powerfull RSH tank locomotive for use on local heritage railways. RSH No77 was the last working Steam Locomotive in the North East of England not in preservation so it is an important part of our heritage! Fundraising has been underway for a number of years now and a large amount of the missing components aquired. Restoration activities are underway at a Shildon National Railway Museum with regular working parties. Please visit our online Model Shop. All funds raised will go towards RSH No77.
